Hello and good afternoon,

My car has no AC button or hole available on the dashboard. But it did come with an AC pump, AC lines, condenser. I bought it used and it was wrecked. We disconnected the AC pump belt, because there was no condenser, only pump and AC lines left. But I now have a donor car, but it puzzles me that there is no opening/AC power button available. Is it possible this car's AC once operated off of the cold to hot lever/controller like a newer climate controlled car? There is only a smaller scored box shape cover where the AC button is supposed to be. The AC pump is still on the vehicle and so are the lines that lead out from the firewall. Hmm. Maybe somebody has changed the face plate? Would you have any possible answers?

Did the car come with AC originally? It sounds like someone installed an engine out of a car that had AC?
