I recently replaced my radiator. I added water to the new radiator and ran the engine for about 5 minutes then drained the radiator and did this several times. But each time only about 1 gallon drains out with some old fluid. Is this normal? Do I just continue to fill and drain the radiator or is there something I'm missing?

With engine warm shut off remove bottom radiator hose. After it drains leave off garden hose in rad. Start run till clear water. Then let drain connect put in straigt antifreeze then top off with water.
