1990 Nissan Truck truck won't start after its been sitting

After my truck sat for a few hours it wouldn't start but made a noise under the hood like the fan was running but the fan wasn't running. The noise was coming from the near the air filter. I could not make it stop by trying to start again. It just would quit makeing the noise about 5 minutes later and then my truck would start up.

Hi there,

Run a diagnostic check on the ECU for fault codes, this is the first step in finding these type of problems, depending on the engine, the noise may be the idle control motor winding in and out.
