Engine Mechanical problem
1986 Nissan Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 1986 Nissan Hardbody pickup that starts fine and runs a few minutes then dies. Starts up again then dies. I changed out the coil pack and it is showing no codes. Don't know what else to try.

Do below to determine whether it's a spark or fuel problem:

Cranks and w/n start

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

Thank you for your help. Now the truck is not starting back up until several hours later. I checked and no spark showing. I already replaced the coil pack. Is there anyway to check it? I replaced the distributor about 5 years ago when I had this problem before. Seemed to take care of it until now. Injectors are shooting fluid and I changed out the computer. Thanks.

Could be the distributor pick-up coil, crank angle sensor and ignition control module
