Can anyone tell me if I will be able to fit some 18" rims on a 97 sentra or would I be better off goin with the 17". I would like to go as big as I can without damaging my car

Best course of action would be to go to a large tire store and ask them. I work at one here in canada and we can tell you exactly what size rims (diameter/width/offset etc) will work for your specific application.
