Leaking antifreeze

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra and I just noticed that the antifreeze was leaking a little. My car isn't over heating or anything but I'm afraid it will start is this going to be a major repair job I know nothing about cars and I don't want them tampering with all sorts of stuff I just want that fixed, unless it really is more to it than that.

Hi there,

Ask your mechanic to pressure test the cooling system and report his findings. If the leaks is minor, it may just need a hose clamp tightened. If a hose has a leak then your at the mercy of your repaired, if honest he will do what has to be done. Ask for a quote and get a second opinion if at all concerned. Most technicians are honest, so ask around for a recommended repairer, you wouldn't recommend someone who ripped you, would you.
