I am having trouble changing out the belts on my '99 Nissan Sentra. I am able to get the larger of the 2 belts loosened enough to "almost" take it off; however, due to the smaller belt (which I can NOT get off) I am not able to get the larger belt off. I was told to loosen to upper bolts but with no luck. Any advise?

I recently replaced the serpentine belt on my 99. Take the right front wheel/tire assembly off and remove the plastic wheel well liner. You should be able to see all your pulleys. On the lower right side of the engine, behind one of the pulleys, there is a 10mm tension adjuster for one of the pulleys. Loosen this adjuster to remove the smaller belt. Assembly is just the opposite.
