I am planning to buy a 2002 Nissan Sentra. I would like to know after how much miles the timing belt needs to be changed, and what is the cost associated with it?
Thanks,
Abhi

Hi abhijain8,
Normally recommended timing belt replacement is 60 k miles.
I believe the Sentra uses timing chains which do not have a recommended replacement interval.

Yep, they have a chain. I'm at 108,000 and not worried.

Hi tziggs,
Good for you, but you need to be worried if there is a rattling noise when starting from cold ;)
