I have nissan sentra 2001, 1.8 gxe. Engine cranks but won't start. Diagnose fault code P0306 cylinder missfire. Remove and clean fouled spark plugs and got engine to start. Checked fuel pressure, checked coolant in cylinders (OK). Need to duplicate concern to verify why spark plugs fouled.
Problem happened again. Changed spark plugs and got engine to start.
This problem keeps happening. What's causing this problem and what should be done to repair or solve.

Did you replaced the spark plugs with the right "heat range"

make sure they are the right heat rating.
Also check the compression on each cylinder and make sure they are within specification.

Fouling

* Will occur when spark plug tip temperature is insufficient to burn off carbon, fuel, oil or other deposits
* Will cause spark to leach to metal shell. No spark across plug gap will cause a misfire
* Wet-fouled spark plugs must be changed. Spark plugs will not fire
* Dry-fouled spark plugs can sometimes be cleaned by bringing engine up to operating temperature
* Before changing fouled spark plugs, be sure to eliminate root cause of fouling

good Luck!
