Interior problem
1995 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

this car has the auto seat belts that go up around the door frame when you close the door.

The drivers side belt will not move on its own and a greased cable has popped out from the door frame. It appears that the cable pulls the seat belt.

Whatever is pulling the seat belt is obviously trying to pull the belt, but cannot.

The belt latch can be moved manually, but the cable will NOT retract to be moved out of the way.

Is there a repair for this, or does it need a whole new belt assembly?

First of all thank you so much for your donation. As far as your power seat belt goes when they come apart like that they need to be replaced. Maybe you could find a good used one there usually pretty expensive to replace them but see how much they are new and you can decide which way you want to go.
