1994 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 289000 km
Just bought this car from used car lot. Next day everything fine except after about 20 km the alternator and brake light both come on at the same time, then go off after a km or 2. Checked how the lights come on when I start car. Everything works fine. The brake warning light comes on independently when the emergency brake is applied. The car starts as soon as you hit the key. My experience has been that if the alternator has a problem it usually just quits. That light does not come on alone at all. Does this sound like a faulty sensor or possibly a loose connection someplace? Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
