I am wondering if anyone knows what problem I am having with my car. I just got new rotors and pads installed in 2 days ago. The squeaking of the noise is gone. But now when I drive I hear a rattling sound as if something was loose. I also hear like a swooshing sound like "chhh chhh chhh." Its quite hard to explain unless your in the car. Is that normal to break in the rotors and pads? Or should I get it checked

Hi there,

I would be getting the work re checked by the mechanic who did the job, best to be safe just in case they did not do it correctly.

Yeah I went to the shop to get it checked out.
They said everything was right and nothing was loose.
This has happened to me before when I got new pads. It went away after 2 days. But now that I got rotors and pads, it rattles and makes that "schhh schh schh" sound. Any ideas?

Hi there,

The pads may need a good bed in, normally only if they are poor or low quality pad, go find a quiet road and give the brakes a good work out, don't lock them up, just work them hard and see how it goes.
