My pathfinder is using crazy amounts of gas. Like 10 mpg or less. I just got the air intake replaced. Also, it's driving weirdly. I can't accelerate up hills. I was driving on the freeway today and I could not go past 70mph then I came to a big hill. It dropped down to 40-45 and would not accelerate. When I tried, the rpm's jumped up to 5000 and I began to slow down. With less gas rpms went into normal range but car would not accelerate. What can I do. I have already spent crazy amounts of money repairing it.

What may be a course of action is have a qualified shop expereinced in performance troubleshooting work with it. Firs is to check for codes that may aid in the process that are stored in the PCM. The truck may need to be test driven with a quality scanner that can reord the data stream when the problem is happening to help identify where the abnormality liesI ass ume the basics such as tune up parts are in good shape.
