2000 Nissan Pathfinder Speedometer, Tachometer, Engine Temp

The three meters or gauges above will often just stop working and go down to zero - now sometimes the speedometer sticks on a mph like 80. I am about to bring to the dealership and would like to be somewhat knowledgable on what is happening. I know nothing about cars. Thank you for your assistance.

That will most likely be a "cold solder" joint on the circuit board in the gauge cluster, or a bad connection where the wires plug in to the cluster.

Hi, Maybe the printed circuit board in instrument cluster or the wire connector to circuit board. Probably need to pull out cluster and make some tests.

I had the same problem with mine some time ago. Replacing the instrument cluster altogether is what solved the problem for me.
