1998 Other Nissan Models Cross Threaded Oxygen Sensor

While removing the front Oxygen Sensor it became cross threaded. The female port for it is cross threaded as well. I have someone who can fix this issue, however I would need to drive the car about 20 miles. My main question is how damaging to the vehicle will it be if I drive that distance with no oxygen sensor in place?

I WOULD WANT TO BE SURE THE HEAT COMING OUT FROM THE HOLE WONT MELT ANYTHING. IF THATS CLEAR, WHILE NOT ADVISABLE TO DO, I DONT SEE ANYTHING IT WOULD HARM. YOUR COMPUTER WOULD KNOW THERES NO O2 SENSOR AND COMPENSATE FUEL DELIVERY.
