1988 Other Nissan Models Will not start-however, I can jump

I put a rebuilt starter with solenoid and still the same results. Put the key in and all electrica system works except the when I turn the key & nothing happens. I do hear a little click sound when I turn the key. I've also been using the truck by roling and poping the clutch.
