1988 Other Nissan Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

My Stanza '88 model have a problem in U-turns. It takes lot of space during a complete Left or Right turns. When I fully steer my wheel to either side, it can only malke 1 and 1/4 rotation. Thus, I still have to back up again to complete a turn, w/c I find frustrating. Compared to my Honda and Toyota, both can accomplish a 1 and 3/4 rotation in a full turn. Is this normal for my Stanza or I need to mechanic to have it adjusted. Thanks!
