I curently have the loan of a Datsun 200B and a variety of faults are beginning to show. Firstly, each time I stop at the lights and take it out of gear the engine stills sounds like I have my foot on the gas. Also when I turn the car off when parked the engine runs on and rattles?

secondly I am concerned that the steering is getting HARD to turn to the right. Ljust driving normally feels like it does when you turn the wheels when parked before you take off.

I know its an old car, byt the person I have the loan of it from is a MECHANIC. And I wondered if the settings were for long distance as opposed to the roundtown running I am currently doing?
