1989 Nissan Micra engine stalls

Engine Performance problem
1989 Nissan Micra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Car runs fine for 10 to 15 minutes, then stalls when stopped. Will start again if I hold gas pedal to floor, once or two times but when it stalls again will not start no matter how long I try. Then, if I leave it sit for an hour or more, it runs fine again for a while then breaks down the same way again. I have put new gas and methyl hydrate in the tank replaced the gas and air filters and sprayed the carburetor with good quality cleaner.

p.S. (The car has been parked outside in cold winter weather from late November to early April. It was running great when last driven in November.)

Try checking fuel pressure when cold .. then check fuel pressure when vehicle is in the cutting out stage .. I suspect your fuel pump may be breaking down once hot !! do you have a repair manual for the vehicle ?
