Nissan Maxima 96 Im still paying each month for my car.I bought the car about a year and half ago. Everytime I turn the ignition it would take me two times to turn the car on. When I would turn it nothing would happen, until two or three tries. Half of time it would just start with no problem. Past few months the car would take me a couple more tries before it would turn on, and like always sometimes it would be no problem. These past two or three weeks It would take me about 12 to 15 tries to turn it on and sometimes it would turn on with no problem. Two weeks ago my car would not do anything, so I left it there for almost half of the day and when I returned it turned on with no problem. Well yesterday the car took me about 20 tries and it turnedon then my wife took it and it happened to her. Today I got up turned it on with no incident and when I turned it off that was it. Now it hasnt turned on at all.I talked to a mechanic and he said that there has been problems with maximas with the ignition system or it could be the starter.P.S I lent my car to my parents months ago and they could not turn it on, well I got there and all I did was push on the brake slowly, at the same time turn the ignition and it turned on. Do you think it could be in the ignition? Or would the starter do that?. And where would I get a gauge for the fuel pump? And I would like to donate, but I dont have a bank account. How a bout money order?

Do a fuel pressure check with a gauge and comeback with the pressure readings -it seems though you have to boost the pressure in order for it start-could be a failing fuel pump. We'll take the ignition later.
