Ignition problems

I just purchased a 1997 nissan maxima se, with the 182ci v-6 and 133000 miles. When you turn the key sometimes it turns over and somtimes it just clicks in the dash. Battery and connections are good. Is this in the ingnition switch or maybe a relay any help will be appreciated. Vince

Have a look at the check valve and make sure vacuum is going thru the hose! Has the car been sitting? Try this with the engine off pump the pedal till all the air is bleed out of the booster. Keep pressure on the pedal and start the car, did pedal move? If yes booster is working.
