In 2008 this samething happen and the dealer said that my alternator went out and I replaced it with a brand ne one. Now that same thing is happening again it only been 20 months since we put a brand new alteranator in my car. What's wrong with my car?

Did you install a brand new Nissan alternator or after market rebuilt? It is possible that the alternator you install has gone bad again, especially if it is a rebuilt. To check, get a voltmeter (Harbor Freight have these for about 8 bucks) and check the voltage of the battery (at the terminals with the engine running. It should be near 14 volts DC (ideally 13.8 V).

If it is showing 12 volts with the engine idling, your alternator is not working right.
