Hii,

i was told by firestone mechanic that my cv boots are torn and are splitting the grease out.I generally drive for about 75 miles twice a week. Would it be a problem if I drive with torn boots? He said it would cost 500$ to fix them. Im a student and I cant afford that much. Pls tell me how long I can drive with torn boots with out any problem?

Hard to say how long it will go. I have seen them go a few months from the time we spotted one or a couple years. IF you start to hear clicking, you need to make it a priority.

Stop going to firestone or chains. They are usually more trouble.
