I had a question regarding some noises I've been hearing from the rear end of my car. It has a rattling like noise and a mechanic friend said that it is the rear end axles. What is an average cost that I should expect, considering all shops have different labor charges, etc?

Your vehicle is Front wheel drive. It doesn't have rear axles. Probably something in the suspension system needs replacing causing the noise. Need to have the shock/strut assembly and lateral links checked out. Also make sure the exhausts heat shields are not lose underneath car causing the rattling noise.
