I repalced my fule injectors and the car runs good but there is a real loud squeeling noise maybe vacum leak. I have checked all the hoses. It seems like it might be cuming from the throttel body and intake but I am not sure. Any suggestions. I got the fuel injectors from advance auto they are not factory ones.

Hello,

If it is a squealing then try this.

Look for the 2 idler pulleys. One is on top just to the left of the A/C Compressor the other is on the bottm just under and to the right of the power steering pump.

Next have a can of spray lube wd40 or similar.

Then with engine off spray the center bolt of 1 of the idler pulleys NOT both.

Start vehicle if squeal is gone replace pulley, if still there turn vehicle off and spray other idler pulley and start vehicle if squeal is gone replace pulley.

I tried spraying both of these pullys with lube but the noise is still there. Before I repalced the fule injestors this noise was not there and the best I can tell it sounds like it is coming from under the intake by the throttle body possibly. I have to assume it is somthing I have done when replacing the fule injectors but I can not understand what could make the noise. It sounds like a drimmel tool. Any other suggestions? Would low power sterring fulid cause anything to make this sound?I have not drove the car since replacing the injectors just started it.

Hey Jeff,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was working my full time job as an EMT.

Anyway, you say you believe the noise is coming from under the throttle body. There is a Power Valve Control Solenoid and a EGR Control Solenoid just behind there near the EGR Valve. Check the hoses again and make sure they are connected properly.

The power steering being low would cause a sqealing type sound, however, it would sound more like it was coming from the engine front were the belts are.

I have checked all the hoses I was thinking about taking the intake off again and see if maybe a gastket was leaking. Do you think the bad or tore gasket could make this noise. I am sure it is a vacum leak of some kind but it is not a hose.I is starnge to be becuase it is so loud!

It's possible.

Question is it a sqeal or more of a Chirping? I ask because I just came across a Ford Taurus that is similar to your problem with the noise, except it sounds more like a chirp than a sqeal and it isn't all that loud.

I haven't narrowed it down yet but when I do I will let your know what I found it to be.

It sounds like a vacum leak but real strong and it is loud. The best thing I can compare it to is a dremmel tool but louder. It is so loud I can't be sure were it coming from. My neighbors can hear it from inside thier house.I will not have time to tear it back down until next Sunday I am taking my son racing this weekend. I hate to tear it down again replace the gasket put it back together and it still be making the same noise so I am really trying to get a good idea what it could be 1st.
