Yes ir is a DOHC Thanks for your help. I Repalced the FICD relay still no fulel out of the fuel filter with the fuel line disconnected. Is there any easy way to be sure it is the fuel pump before I take the gas tank off? How difficult is it to remove the gas tank and replace fuel pump on 1992 Maxima?

When you first turn key without cranking do you hear fuel pump buzz for few seconds? If not, have helper bang on fuel tank with rubber mallet while you turn key, if it starts up then fuel pump is bad. If fuses, relay and wiring is good and pump is not running then it's most likely faulty pump.

As you instructed, I hit the gas tank with rubber mallett with the key in the ON POSITION(power to the electrical system and fuel pump). No gas came out of the open fuel line I had in engine compartment. I turned off the ignition then turned iginition on again the second time and there was gas pumping out. So it is working now.

So, does this sound like a bad fuel pump? If so the is $130.00 Delphi pump good enough or should I pay more $225 for OEM or Airtrx pump?

Delphi is a good brand for fuel pumps and yes it does seem like the pump is at fault here.
