Hello! Thank you for the assistance. I hope you and your family are doing well and are healthy during this weird time we live in.
I am looking to get a "new" car. Now, I have thought about electric cars before but never really seriously went for it and this time, I am leaving heavy towards an electric vehicle. I have been trying to find the comparison between these 2 models, which are the same model, just different year and trim and it seems impossible. So, I hope you may be able to help me out! Thanks!

Cars in question: 2012 Nissan Leaf SV vs. 2013 Nissan Leaf SL
Mileage: 2012-51,760 / 2013-61,724

I have got conflicting information and that's what has made this so difficult.

*I do not know if one has a fast DC charge or slower. Which model would charge faster?

*Looking at the mileage attached to each car, along with their tests and reviews, which one seems that may have a longer lifespan?

*Features in each car, what is different between them?

*Honestly, if you were in my position, with all the automotive expertise and info you know, which would you most likely get?

**I don't know if links are allowed, but I'm gonna give the 2 links for each car.**

Once again, thank you so much! I really do appreciate it!

There are not much differences between these two vehicles. The major difference is the SL has a premium package that includes a surround view monitoring system, leather seats, and a better audio system. Also the SL has hill start assist, which is basically a system where the brakes are held on a hill to give you time to step on the accelerator. This will avoid it rolling backwards on a hill.

Clearly an SL can be ordered differently and the one you are looking at may not be equipped the same but it appears all else is the same between the two.

The mileage difference is not that big of a deal. If it were 30,000 to 40,000 miles difference that could influence the decision but in this case they are close enough that I would not let that be the deciding factor.

They both have the same engine and charge rate so there is no difference there.

Basically they are the same vehicle except the SL has a few more options in it.

If it were me I would go with the SL just for the couple more options.

You can't make a wrong decision so what should decide this is drive both and buy the one that makes you feel better. Trust your feeling and go with it. You don't know what the mechanical future is for either one so that can't be a factor. Either one could fail tomorrow but there is no way to know outside of checking warranty history for repeat issues in the recent past.

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks
