2004 Nissan Altima jerking issue

I have had my car for a week and a half and it is starting to jerk when I have ben driving. When I was driving on 3 occassions it suddenly jerked backwards but kept driving afterwards. What is the problem with it

Is the check engine light on? If it is, get it scanned at any auto parts store, and get back to us with the code(s).

The check engine light does not come on. It is just jerking back and when it changes gears it hesitates to shift into the next gear.

Make sure first off, your transmission fluid is full to the level. The diagnostic procedure is quite lengthy, PM me and I will send you a pdf file of it.
