Sometimes when I am in drive mode I notice the battery light and brake light come on the same time. I had a new battery installed last year and I just had new front brakes put on 2 weeks ago. I was told I need new back brakes. ; But the battery and brake lights come simultaneously. Please advise. Thanks !

Hello,

The brake warning light can be illuminated due to low brake fluid, engaged parking brake, bad master cylinder or a defective proportioning valve.
Verify that the parking brake is in fully released position, brake fluid is at correct level.

Take a look at this article, it covers the typical issues:

The battery light comes on when the battery does not get charged properly by the alternator. Typically, it points to a bad alternator or a wiring issue from the alternator to the battery.
When the battery light gets triggered, a good first step would be to test the alternator output to the battery. It should be 13.6V to 15.2V with the engine running.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
