Hi, I have been having a problem with the oil light of my car. It has been on for a year but I have driven 7000 miles with out doing anything. Now that im on vacation, I changed the oil pump, oil pressure switch, oil filter, and new oil, and the wthe date my mechanic gave me the car back, the light was off, but the next day I started the engine and the oil light was on again. I drove it for a while and now the engine is making a weird noise. Plase help me

Now the engine is making a weird noise.

Did you actually checked the oil pressure when you installed the new oil pump and also prime it before start-up The noise could be coming from the engine bearings such as crank/rod and cam-bearings.

Well I did not check the oil pressure, and the mechanic told me that maybe there is an "internal bledding" where the pressure must be going away. I dont know if I should trust him or not.

Get the oil pressure recheck and comeback with the readings.
