1998 Nissan Altima Engine shaking in idle or after stopping

Shakes or Wobbles problem
1998 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When my car is in the drive position and moving there is no vibration but when I reach a stoplight and I press the brake and the car comes to a complete stop the car/engine vibrates and shakes. The exhaust is also coming out in spurts. Not fluidly as it should. Any suggestions to what this problem could be? Thanks!

Hi there,

This may just be an idle control problem, have the base idle speed checked and get a scan to check for any unresolved fault codes, start here.

It happened to just be loose spark plug wires! They somehow got loosened during travel I suppose.I pushed two of them in and wallah. Problem fixed. Thanks for your insight though Mark!
