What is causing a clunking noise from the front wheels when accelerating from a stop with the wheels turned hard in either direction. The previous owner said he replaced the CV joints because of this noise. I'm not sure I believe him, but the CV boots do look fairly new. I have replaced the rear bushing on the front right wheel for another noise rattle, but this didn't help the clunking noise.

Hi there, if this is a constant clicking noise on hard turns, this will normally be faulty CV's, but if it is just one knock, I would be looking at suspension bushes.
