1995 Nissan Altima Distributor

I have change my distributor and rotor 4 times in last 4 years. I have taken to 3 different mechanics and spent $ to troubleshoot but all blame the distributor.

What would cause distributor to fail so often

If your valve cover leaks any in the area of the distrubitor the oil can get inside the distribitor and kill it. Also there is a o-ring where the distribitor goes inside the head if it gets pinched or damaged during install or is just defective the distribitor will be damaged as well
