1995 Nissan Altima Manual 180000 miles

I'm having some trouble with my car. The battery just died today while I was driving, so I had to get someone to help and and I got a new one.

But now, my battery light on the display panel is still on along with the e-brake light, but they keep going on and off. About ten minutes, I'm driving with my new battery in the car, everything is fine; the next, the warning lights come back on. They started to fade after a minute, but then came back on again! I'm worried that it wasn't just the battery. All of the cables looked fine and the alternator looked fine. Is is just that the car is taking awhile for it to register that it is a new battery or is there something that I don't know about? Please help!

You can't tell if an alternator is good just by looking at it. You need to test it. Take it to a local auto part store such as AutoZone and they can test it for your free of charge. You can have it tested on or off of the vehicle. Should have it tested before the new battery gets drained or you will be replacing it again.

Post results of test and I will follow up.
