I I was just wondering what the problem is with my windshield wipers. When I turn on the wipers they do not move but you can hear the windshield wiper motor working properly( it makes the same sound as when the wipers are working). I checked the windshield wiper fuse and that seems to be good. I am at a lost of what it could be and I am weary of bringing it to a repair shop where they may charge me a fortune to repair something that may possibly be done by myself. Thanks.

The ball socket in the linkage has probably popped off of the shaft on the motor.

They do that incase you leave you wipers on when you turn off your car and then the wipers freeze to the window over night.

You have to take the cowling off that is at the base of the window to get to it.

Be prepaired to have to buy a new linkage arm.
The plastic ball socket break most of the time when that happens.
Most Nissan dealers keep them instock.
