I have a 1993 Nissan Altima and yesterday I was driving and I accelerate I get to around 5000 RPM and the car starts to miss a little bit. I come home and the distrbutor cap has corrosion on the inside. I change the cap and take it for a drive and it drives normal. I come home and I go to leave again and the car is driving fine, so I give it a little more gas and at around 5000 RPM again it starts breaking up/ missing. The car had a tune up about 18000 or 19000 miles ago could I just need another tune up or could it be something else. Please help!

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following-inspect and test all the following below:
1. Defective spark plug.
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Idle air control valve.
