Heat problem

Hi I have Nissan 350z 2004. It has 30000 miles. I have problems with the heat. The AC works fine. The heat works fine too but only when the car is in 1500 or more RPMs. When the car is in one position there is cold air coming out. Thank you in advance.

A couple of things could be going on. 1 The coolant level is a bit low. 2 The heater core could be clogging up, get it blown out ata radiator shop. 3 The thermostat could be weak.
