Nissan primeria 1994 76000 miles, recently my car was broken intoand the stereo stolen, they broke the drivers lock to get in ever since I have had battery problems, the battery seem to be draining over night. Ive recharged and left it disconnected for a couple of days then connect it and it seems to be fine (it starts the car) but after approx 8 hours it drains again, sometimes while driving the car loses all power and all electrics and I need to jump start it. Ive followed the advice given with the bulb connected to the negative terminal and there is a bright glow which indicates a large drain but ive removed every fuse and the bulb stays on, the only time it goes out is when I remove the battery fuse. Is this a problem with the battery or another major fault ive been quoted over 300 to repair which is excessive for a car that age can you please help, Mark

Check the wires fot the stereo. There might be a wire there that has juice going to it could be hitting the ground. Try pulling the fuse out for the stereo and see what happens
