Hello I have a 1985 nissan 300zx and I have a heater problem, the engine heats up perfect, and the heater takes about an hour to get mildly warm air to produce. So my question is what do I need to do to make the heater work properly. Thank you for your help.

Chk the heater ctrl valve by the firewall next to the battery. If that chk out. Then ur need to chkthe ctrl door. Which u need vac & electric diagram. This better perfrom by an expert. We had tons of Z31 w/ac & heater issue becuz early nissan use vac to ctrl vent doors and the problem is all vac hoses diagphram actuator are made outta rubber. Well rubber get hards when its old.
