When the engine is on, the AM band has a lot of static. When engine is turned off, the stattic stops. This does not happen with FM. Any solution to this problem?

When the engine is on, the AM band has a lot of static. When engine is turned off, the stattic stops. This does not happen with FM. Any solution to this problem?
