1995 Nissan 240SX Car won't hold idle

When I try to start my car, it starts then just dies right after. If I hold the gas it will run, as soon a I let off it automaticaly dies. I could drive it like that, but once I let off the gas rpm meter just drops, and car stalls. I can smell gas when I stand next to it after trying to start it. I'm goin to guess it would be the MAF, O2, or the fuel filter.

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last major tune-up?

Guessing is not gonna work its gonna cost more-you have to conduct tests to rule things out. My suggestions are check the fuel pressure then try the auxilliary air contol valve/throttle position sensor/EGR valve/PCV valve.

Do you have a repair manual?

Yes, I do have a engine light.I just bought the car, and now all hell broke lose. I don't have a manual unfortunatly

Test the components as suggested and comeback with some results-You need a book to tackle this problem could be a nightmare-
