Everywhere i look to buy a new intake manifold for this car the intake looks different. It has a vacuum operated end compared to what i have as factory, which has a harness. Do you know anything about this? Pictures show the new vs mine.

Hi,

I need to know the exact model and production date. Let me know if it is a sedan, convertible, coupe, or anything you can think of.

I tried looking at it as a 2011 335I and the part number listed in my manual is wrong. It indicates 11618519140. When I cross-reference that number, it indicates it isn't for your vehicle. So, what I am thinking is you have a late production year vehicle that may have the 2012 design used.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Based on your VIN, you have a 335D and not a 335I. You have the M57Y diesel engine. That is why you are having problems finding the correct intake. You are getting an intake for a gas engine 335I.

The OEM part number is 11618519140.

Take a look at the pic below and let me know if this helps. When you look for the part, make sure you select the 335D M57Y engine.

Take care,

Joe

I suspect the website has posted the wrong info or the wrong picture. Everything I look up indicates the part number I sent and when I look up the part number, the manifold looks like your original one.

Let me know.
