Neutral safety switch replacement

I need to replace a neutral safety switch. Can you please give me step-by-step instructions and how to replace it on the vehicle listed above?

Good afternoon,

The neutral switch is on the side of the transmission.

The shift cable end has to be removed and the arm unbolted and then the switch is right there and a couple attaching bolts holding it and 1 connector for electric.

Roy

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. It is not necessary to remove the range selector lever cable and bracket from the transmission.

3. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the above illustration and table.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 1: TR Sensor Electrical Connector Removal Note

1. Move the rubber boot back to gain access to the electrical connector.

2. Disconnect the digital TR sensor electrical connector.

Item 6: TR Sensor Installation Note

1. CAUTION: The digital TR sensor must fit flush against the boss on the case to prevent damage to the sensor.

Install the digital TR sensor and loosely install the screws.
