My reverse lights don't seem to work and I wanted to know how I would know if it is blown out. Also, How do I know if my oil in mixing with water. As when I open the oil screw it is yellow however, i've cleaned it and it seems okay but what does that mean? Or is it simply just fluid to protect the engine. Thanks.

Standard or automatic? I have never had an issue with automatic reverse light switch.

The standard transmission reverse light switch (2 wire) is a common failure item with age. The wiring also like s to break with age.
