SUV starts and runs but give a little gas it cuts off

If I idle and give a little gas it cuts off and if I put it in gear it cuts off. Can some one let me know what to do about this?

Yep, it sounds like you have a dirty throttle bore. here are two guides that will help us fix the problem:
