I need my vehicle to pass a safety. Everything is in working order but rocker panel on the drivers side is starting to go on it. Will it still pass a safety because it has a frame and is not unibody?

Good evening,

I live in PA and the rule is as long as the hole does not allow gasses into the passenger compartment, it will pass.

You need to check with your state regulation.

You would have to check with the local laws.

You are welcome.

Always glad to help.

Here is what it say, how would you interpret it? To me it sounds like it's okay.

Can you post some pictures?

From the wording, if the rocker is bad with a hole, it is no good.

A portion of the pinch weld underneath has broken. No hole and no fume intrusion inside.

Then you should be good.

There has to be a hole that allows gases into the passenger compartment for it to fail.
