My friend has a 2005 Chevy trailblazer 4.2liter 4x4 and she ran over a volvo car engine and HI centered her car on the motor she called a tow truck and he drug her car off the engine put a hole in transfer case and repaired it filled it up with correct fluid the car wont shift automatically but can shift manualy. Plus the speedometer doesn't work anymore dose one effect the other if one stops working?

Yes, if the speedometer is not working this will make the transfer case not shift automatically. I would swap out the right and left VSS sensors (2) which are in the transfer case. Here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
