My car just dies on me

I have a new battery, new starter, new altonatar,
new radiator, I never know when the car is going
To start. It runs really good except for this problem
It starts with cables no problem engine light is on
Along with abs and slip light please help

There are several things that could cause this to happen. So, since the check engine light is on, I would like to start by having the computer scanned to find out what trouble codes are stored. Most parts stores will do that for free. Have that done and let me know what you find.
