My fan inside my engine is not working, I noticed an engine problem when I saw white vapor from my hood when parking. Looking into the engine I saw antifreeze splattered over the pressure cap near the front of the engine. The reserve coolant was pretty much empty. I assume it boiled over for one reason or the other when the fan wasn’t working. Do you think the problem could be the thermostat? Fan Motor? Or fuses? I haven’t tested fuses because I don’t know how, would you be able to send me a diagram or video? Thank you.

Hi,

The first thing to check would be the fuses. There are also relays and the radiator fan itself that can be checked, but let's do one thing at a time.

As far as the fuses are concerned, there are a few of them that can cause the issue. However, I need to know if you have a 1.5L or a 1.8L engine. They were both offered.

As far as checking a fuse, once we determine which to check (based on engine), here is a link that explains how it's done:

Also, when you turn the A/C on, one of the fans should also turn on. Check to see if that is happening.

Let me know.

Joe
