I am trying to replace the starter in my 94 pickup. I cannot figure out how to get to the bolts which connect the starter to the bell housing (transmission) what do I need to remove to get to my starter?

Using a hoist makes the job much simpler. You can access the starter motor bolts if vehicle is raised off ground with hoist.

I have the vehicle lifted already, there just are what looks like emergency brake lines, and transmission lines blocking access from the bottom. That is only for one bolt, the other isn't accessible at all from the bottom of the truck unless I dropped the tranny, the bolt would need to be removed from the top, which has the fuel injector, AC lines, and other lines blocking it.
